Happy Easter

Hi friends,

Easter will be here before we know it and this year it comes early, on April 1, so today the design team at Elizabeth Craft Designs is sharing our Easter Creations.  I hope you will hop, like a bunny, on over the blog to see what we have made.  Simply CLICK HERE. Don't forget to enter the drawing for a gift certificate.

This month I decided to make two cards using the same die sets.  I just love this bunny and can think of so many ways to use it.

The first one is an easel card with our little friend happily sitting among the eggs.

For my second card, I have filled the basket with carrots, part of the Bunny Set.

The Spring Basket can be filled with just about anything you can think of - so have some fun and
Happy Easter.

For today's challenge Elizabeth Craft Designs are giving away a $20 Gift Card to use on our website to 3 winners

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day,

Just popping in with a quick Valentine's Day card that I can now share since I already gave Mac his card.  It is rather clean and simple because, after all, he's a guy.  It's a 5" X 5.5 " gate fold card that is held closed with a belly band.

I used lots of Elizabeth Craft Designs dies, stamps and paper for this one.  Links are below if you want to shop.

Have a wonderful day,

"Love" is the Paper Pros Challenge

I wanted to play along this month with the Paper Pros Challenge, we are an informal group of crafters who like to share our creations in the form of a monthly challenge.  With Valentine's Day coming tomorrow, Love is the perfect theme.

There is a new release from Karen Burniston and her Coffee Cup Pop-Up is so much fun.  It is designed to hold a gift card if you chose - but it can also be used without the gift card and that's what I have done.

For video instructions you can click here.  I decided to double my fun for this card by adding two cups. Just follow Karen's instructions X 2.

My cards is a 5" X 7" with a top fold.  It folds flat for mailing in an A7 envelope.

I cut out my cups and decorated them with the dies in the set - the circles on the front, the cute little stir sticks with the heart (how perfect was that?).  I added the hearts that came from the sticks to decorate the front of the cups and then added the words using Word Sets 2 & 3.  I got the "me" from merry Christmas.  Add a few coffee beans and a label from the Katherine Label Pop-Up and it's good to go.

See you tomorrow with a Valentine -

Just For You

Hi friends,

Just stopping by with a card I made for a friend who is having a birthday.  I used lots of great dies paper and stamps from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

This a 5.5" square card with a top fold.

Began with the card base made with Soft Finish Cardstock in Pink from the Sampler Set 3,  next add a white panel using Soft Finish Cardstock.

The Stripes Background was stamped on white and then colored using Copic Markers.  Add the colored panel to the white panel.

Add a coordinating ribbon.

Using the Gift Wrapped Stamp Set - stamp the gift giver and gifts on the back side of Soft Finish Cardstock and color.  Cut out the stamped images of the gifts using the matching dies.

The Stitched Ovals was used in pink for the background and then a smaller size Dotted Scallop Oval was used to cut out the white panel that has been stamped and colored.

Attach gifts with foam tape to make them pop.

Enjoy,

Melt it at A Vintage Journey

Hi friends,

Today is the start of a new challenge at A Vintage Journey.  I hope you will stop by to see all the great things the Creative Guides have made to inspire you.  You can see it all by CLICKING HERE.  Our challenge this time was "Melt It".
I made a simple yet colorful tag and used embossing powder in two different ways as my "Melt It" object.

This a rather simple tag with lots of color.

I began with a manila tag, then added Distress Oxide Inks, Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade,
and Wild Honey.

I stamped on the phrase and little butterfly from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Plant, Grow & Bloom stamp set using VersaMark Ink and then some Bravo Burgundy embossing powder from Stampin' Up.

I cut a Dotted Scalloped Circle, cut in half.  It was embossed with Karen Burniston's Butterfly embossing folder(discontinued) and then colored with Wild Honey Distress Oxide and then edged with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide.

For the butterfly, I used the Elizabeth Craft Designs Butterfly 1 die set (discontinued).  I colored the solid one with Broken China Distress Oxide Ink and the lacey butterfly was covered with VersaMark Ink and then covered with gold embossing powder - heated to melt the powder.

The final step was to layer everything and tie a ribbon on the top.

I hope you will join the fun and enter this month's fun challenge.  You can do that by

See you Monday with a fun tag.  Until then - have a creative weekend,
