The Witch Is In -

Hi Friends,

Today I had some play time in my studio and decided to play with some alcohol inks and Yupo paper.   I made a couple of tag backgrounds and then went looking for some fun inspiration on Pinterest.  Well, guess what? It worked. I found some fun tags and cards to inspire me.

I used Cheepers the Chicken from Karen Burniston's fun character collection.  Since I've been in a Halloween mood lately I decided to make Cheepers into a witch.  The Witch Is In!!

Hope you enjoy ---

Wishing you a colorful day -

Hi everyone and welcome,  I have a fun card to share with you today.  I used the new Macaron die from Joset Designs along with the Canning Jar die from Susan's Garden Club, all for Elizabeth Craft Designs.   I had fun with this one, who wouldn't love a macaron?, you may notice that someone has been sampling the yellow one.

After coloring and assembling the macarons I simply put two in the canning jar and stamped a greeting from Joset's clear stamps on a white Dotted Scallop Rectangle from Els van de Burgt Studio.  Quick, easy and oh so delicious.

Designers Challenge - Make it Ghouly!

Hi my friends and welcome to the second Karen Burniston Designers Challenge for the month.  This time our challenge was issued by Shelly Hickox who said "make it girly" or "make it ghouly".   I combined my love of Steampunk with Halloween for this one.

I began with the Hanging Charm Pull Tab card and added some gears from the Steampunk Charms and the Clock and Gears die.  I used the spider web and spider both from the  Halloween Scene die set.  The bat wings on the side of the clock (Clocks and Gears die) are also from the new Halloween Scene.  That adorable witch hat is from the Props 9 and the little bat on top of the tag is one of Midnight the Bat's buddies.

The jack-o-lantern, from the Halloween Charms, is happily smiling in the center of this fun card. The greeting was created with the Steampunk Clear Stamps and the new Halloween Clear Stamps.

 "Steampunk Halloween Greetings"

A trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Hi everyone,

Have you heard the news?  The new release of  "Pop it Ups" from  Karen Burniston is now shipping to retailers near you.  Or you can order them from Elizabeth Craft Designs and It's Cheaper than Therapy now.  This great new collection is so fun with the spooky Halloween dies and charms.  If you like cards that move - check out the Twist Circle Pop-Up, the Iron Fence Pop-Up and the Flower Pot Pop Stand, which I'm sharing today.

Let's take a little trip to the pumpkin patch.

For the front of this card I used the Halloween Clear Stamps for the greeting - stamped on the Labels and Circles die.  The cute little pumpkins are from the Halloween Charms - they can be used as a plain ole pumpkin or a fun jack -o- lantern.   You're gonna love the surprise waiting for you when you open this card - so let's take a look.

The flower pot pops up when the card is opened.  It comes with flowers but, as you can see, it can be used for anything you can think of.  You can see a video from Karen on how to assemble this by clicking here.

You can see the entire collection including new Stage it Stencils, Christmas Stamps and Charms as well as a fun set of Sports Charms.

Hope you will stop by on Monday for the Designers Challenge.  The challenge was set by Shelly Hickox and she wants the team to Make it Girly or Make it Ghouly.  I have my card done and can't wait to share it with you.

See you on Monday,

Let it Snow

Hi friends and welcome - I know it's still hot everywhere but in most places that will soon change.  Today I want to bring you thoughts of cooler, even cold, weather with a few more dies from the new release at Elizabeth Craft Designs - featuring Joset Designs.  These fabulous dies are just too cute!  I love all of them but have chosen just three to share with you this time around.

This hinged project brings thoughts of winter fun in the snow, so "Let it Snow".

You can see the entire new release, coming soon, including the A Way With Words "Let it Snow" by clicking here.
I also used the Through the Lens paper and Hinges from Els van de Burgt Studio.
The cute little snowflakes are from the new release by Karen Burniston, Holiday Charms.

Here are some close ups of the panels so you can see all the details - and there are so many included in these great sets.

I added some twine through the holes provided in the die but it does come with a cute bow if you would rater do that.

Stay crafty and think "snow",

Hop, Hop Hooray - Today's the day!

It's time to announce the winner of the prize package of Elizabeth Craft Design products,  provided by It's Cheaper Than Therapy.

Congratulations go to:

Vivian C.  Here is what she had to say -

Fab creation! I need that Flower Pot Pop Stand. For cards, my favorite style is light hearted. A good example of what I mean is your "just chicken on you" card with the chickens (Cheepers) in the bathtub. Something that just makes you smile. It is so sweet of you and Maria to offer a giveaway.

Vivian, please contact me, sandydiller@gmail.com, with your full name and mailing address and your package will be on it's way to you on Monday.

Thanks to all of you for your great comments and keep an eye out for more giveaways soon.

Have a great weekend,

Live, Laugh, Love

Hi everyone, today I have a full tutorial on how I made this fun home décor wall panel on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog.  You can see it by clicking here.

Warm Thoughts of a new realease -

Hi everyone, today I'm excited to bring you a project that uses several fun dies from the new release at Elizabeth Craft Designs.  These dies are from the Joset Designs collection and they are so cute and fun to use.

My project today is a shadow box, from Graphic 45, that is just the perfect size for the dies.  I used fun foam and felt to create the warm winter garments and, of course, the new dies.

I used the Winter Hat by cutting the solid part from red felt and then the overlay section of the hat from fun foam.  I colored the blue part with a marker.  I just love the Winter Sweater, it comes with some fun accessories like the snowflake, a hanger and even an adorable reindeer for the front.  I made it from felt and it looks so warm and cozy.  I think an ugly sweater contest would be fun using this die.  On the end - I used the Winter Mittens and then colored them with a marker.  All these new designs will be available soon so keep an eye out for them in the Coming Soon section.

The corners are from Els Van de Burgt's Studio and the beautiful calligraphy words are from the
A Way With Words collection  by Suzanne Cannon, all from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I'll be back soon with more from this fabulous collection,

Designer Challenge Week - Flower or Flour

Hi everyone and welcome back, today is the first of two Designer Challenges for the month of August.  The team has been challenged by Karen Burniston with the theme of Flower or Flour.
I decided to go with Flour and who would know all about flour?  Baker the Beaver of course.

Karen has just released some fun new die sets and I have used one of those today mixed with a few older ones.  That's what I love about Pop it Ups, they all work so well together.

For the front of my card I used the new Twist Circle Pop Up along with the
Just A Note Clear Stamps.

As the card is opened - the Twist Circle Pop Up spins up with a fun greeting from the Just A Note - Clear Stamp set.  I took a little liberty and added 'cup' to the Happy Cake Day stamp.  Baker has been very busy with his flour and the tools from the Props 8.  Who wouldn't love one of these cute cupcakes stacked up on the cake plate from the Cake Pop Up?

Have a fabulous week and don't forget to check out Karen's Facebook page to see all the cards from this challenge.  Tomorrow turn in to Karen's blog for a new video.

It's good to be queen!

Hi friends and welcome back, today I'm sharing a card that I just finished using the Anita Frames Pop Up die from Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I had so much fun with this one because my friends are always making fun of me for being a queen, truth be told, I am.  What's a girl to do when hubby spoils her?  I just love this cute stamp set from Art Impressions and it works so well with the Anita Frames Pop Up die set.  You can see the entire new release from Karen by clicking here.

Hope you enjoy-

Hope to see you on Monday for the first Designers Challenge for August where the challenge has come from Karen.  It is Flour or Flower!  Can't wait to see what the team makes for this one.

Batty for you!

Hi everyone and welcome back for another look at the new release from Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Today I'm sharing a Halloween Card that I created using some of Karen's new stamps and dies.  They coordinate so well together and are so versatile that you can mix and match all the sets.  You can see the entire release by clicking here.

For the front of this card I used Halloween Clear Stamps to stamp my greeting.  I cut out the greeting using the Labels and Circles and then added a bat from the Halloween Scene set.

On the inside of this card, the moon and bat spin up from the center, I used the Twist Circle Pop Up for that.  I added a couple more bats from the Halloween Scene to accompany Midnight the Bat.  I altered the fence from the Iron Fence Pop Up and added some stars from the Happy Birthday Pop Up.
I printed my greeting "I'm batty for you!" and cut it out using the Labels and Circles.  I edged the black panel on this card with the Agatha Edges set, all from Karen Burniston
for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

New Release and a giveaway!!

Hi Everyone,

I'm back from my big European Adventure and ready to get back in the crafting groove.  What better way to start than to share a new release from Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.   I am so excited to share these great dies, stamps, and stencils with you.  They will be available soon on the ECD Website.  You can see all the new release in the COMING SOON section by clicking here.

Today I'm sharing the new Flower Pot Pop Stand die set which I have used for a Steampunk Birthday card.  The set comes with flowers and a cute butterfly to fill the flower pot but I have used some gears and a clock all designed by Karen as well.  The flower pot is easy to assemble and it is a Pop Stand die so the pot stands up in the center of the card - yet folds flat for mailing. To see a "how to" video from Karen just click here.

 Hope you enjoy.

I have used some of the new collection on the front of the card as well.  The Labels and Circles die comes in handy for adding a greeting to any card.  I have been wanting a crown to use on my steampunk cards and now I'm happy to say that Karen has added just what I wanted in the Anita Frames Pop Up.

To celebrate the new release - I am giving away this great prize package provided by It's Cheaper Than Therapy, www.itscheaperthantherapy.com, a wonderful online store providing great selection and prices on Elizabeth Craft Design products.  The winner will get this fabulous Stage it Stencil and a set of stamps designed by Karen and two great dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

If you would like a chance to win this great prize package all you have to do is either leave a comment here on my blog or on my Facebook Page telling me what your favorite crafting style is.
It can be girly, cute, pretty, grungy, steampunk or anything else you can think of.  I will hold a random drawing on August 12 and the winner will be announced here and on my Facebook Page.
Good Luck -

I think this card is a good one to enter over at SanDee & amelia's Steampunk Challenge blog.  You can join the fun by clicking here.

Also looks like my card fits the new challenge at Simon Says Stamp with -
